What types of files should I upload?
Your files should be in TIFF, PSD, or JPEG format.
What Resolution should my files be?
Your files should ideally be 360 ppi. However if you wish to enlarge your photo 180 to 360 ppi can yield acceptable results. We can resize your images for you if you wish.
What color space should I use?
Files should be in AdobeRGB 1998 or ProPhoto RGB. However please note that ProPhoto RGB may contain colours that are not printable.
How large can I enlarge my photo?
It depends. In general 6 MP cameras tend to lose detail at around 16x20. An 8 MP camera tends to lose detail around 20x30 or 24x36. Above 8 MP we usually can push it to 40x60. However if your intended viewing distance is farther away than you would normally stand to look at a poster or piece of art work chances are the photo can be enlarged even further. For example, large prints inteded to go above a large fire place or mantle can be substantially enlarged as the viewer's eye would be unable to discern any loss of quality. If you are unsure of what size would work best you are welcome to send your file to us and we will evaluate it for you.
I have a really large file can I send it to you via FTP?
Yes. Please contact us and we will set up an FTP account for you.
We will always communicate with you if there are any problems with your image or if we don't think it will scale well before we process your order.
